Why Motivation Won’t Save You (But this will)
Consistency > motivation. Let me show you what really works.

Hey bestie 💌
This is NOT about goals or hype.
Tbh, not even about motivation.
It’s about the real reason I keep ending up in rooms most people don’t even know exist…
CONSISTENCY.

💼 Renaissance Weekend: A Room You Can’t Google
I just got back from attending Renaissance Weekend…
One of the most exclusive, invite-only events I’ve ever been to.
📍 The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island (Jacksonville, FL)
🤝 Filled with politicians, legacy builders, global leaders, investors, and elite thinkers
🗝️ No Instagram flyers. No TikTok recap. Nothing online to even FOMO.
Just a room with real impact and IYKYK vibes.
These are the types of experiences that don’t come around twice.
And let me be very clear…
I didn’t get in because I had a pitch deck, popularity or a perfectly crafted email.
I got in because I’ve been consistent.
The Backstory (Read This Twice)
This invite didn’t come from a cold outreach or random DMs.
It came from Evan Leaphart, founder of Kiddie Kredit, Black Men Talk Tech, and a active member in our Capital Conversations community.
He couldn’t make it but instead of letting the opportunity pass…
He passed it to me.
Why?
Because I’ve been consistent:
✅ In how I show up
✅ In the conversations I nurture
✅ In the spaces I pour into
This is what I mean when I always say:
“Get in the room and STAY in the room.”
The Truth Nobody Talks About:
✨Bigger rooms don’t come from motivation.
They come from momentum.
Momentum only comes from showing up when it’s not flashy.
When it’s not easy.
When no one’s clapping (YET).
Most people wait for motivation before they act.
But the real ones?
We act consistently and let the results build the motivation.
Back To Reality:
If you only show up when you're motivated…
You’ll only grow when it’s easy.
But if you show up with:
🧠 Routine
🧠 Systems
🧠 Discipline
You’ll win every season.
That’s how I’ve built investor relationships.
How I’ve raised capital.
And how I’m building a portfolio that reflects my long game.
Let This Be Your Little Reminder To:
📆 Block calendar time for networking, dream building, and strategy
📝 Journal or Diary that keeps me clear of what I want even when things feel foggy
💼 Follow up when it’s awkward, not just when it’s easy
🤝 Treat every conversation like a seed, not a transaction
This Week’s Take Action Checklist:
✅ Audit your routines if you still haven’t - what are you showing up for no matter what?
✅ Schedule a non-negotiable block: networking, pitch prep, follow ups
✅ DM someone you’ve been meaning to reconnect with
✅ Ask yourself:
→ “Where am I waiting for motivation?”
→ “Where do I need consistency instead?”
What You Can Learn From This:
✅ Motivation is unpredictable
✅ Consistency is where results live
✅ Your discipline is your investor pitch - people are watching
You’re not getting invited into billion dollar rooms because of how excited you are.
You’re getting invited because of how you move when nobody’s watching.
You’re not behind or late.
But you are responsible for showing up consistently for the life you say you want.

And Because It’s Still Black History Month…
In February you often see people celebrate the legends of the past (and rightfully so)
But Black history is also being written in real time..
In these rooms we walk into, the businesses we build, and the people we choose to bring with us.
That’s why it only felt right to highlight Evan Leaphart.
He didn’t just open the door for me this past weekend at Renaissance Weekend…
✨ He’s actively creating spaces for Black men to talk tech through his platform Black Men Talk Tech
✨He’s educating the next generation through Kiddie Kredit teaching kids financial literacy
✨He pours back into others with real knowledge, resources and impact.
That’s what this work is about.
This is what it looks like to build together..
To make financial friends, share access, and grow collectively.
That’s the kind of leadership I’ll always salute.
And the kind of legacy we’re building not just for ourselves, but for the culture.
👀 Next Week: Building Discipline
→ Why habits are the assets no one can steal
→ Energy management > time management
→ The exact routines that keep my business flowing even when I’m tired
You don’t need another motivational quote this week.
You need to show up anyway.
Let’s get in the room and stay in the room TOGETHER.
xoxo,
Brittany Bell - Your Investor Bestie

P.S. If this letter reminded you that the “yes” you're waiting for might already be circling your name forward it to a bestie who needs to keep showing up.
The most powerful moves happen off the timeline.
