I Had EVERY Reason To Walk Away
The hardest deal I’ve ever done. But I finished it. Here’s what it taught me.

Hey Bestieee,
On December 19th, I officially closed on the biggest asset I own to date
and I won’t lie…
It was the MOST stressful, chaotic, pressure filled deal of my life.

It nearly broke me. Made me question myself.
Thought countless times to give up.
And no, I’m not exaggerating.
The calls, emails, figuring out another strategy after the last idea didn't work.
The process was THE MOST STRESSFUL thing I’ve ever been through.
I had to remind myself OF COURSE ITS HARD Brittany you’re closing on a property with a loan amount of $8.2 MILLION DOLLARS!!
Trust me, it wasn’t just another signature on the dotted line.
It’s way more that goes into it.
It’s a war room to accomplish a deal of this size.
We got it finished and I’m standing stronger, sharper, and more aligned than ever.
But first let me break down everything that tested me.
Why This Deal Almost Broke Me
I mean it was a massive acquisition and the road to closing it nearly took me out.
Playing in a bigger space I have less people I can pick up the phone and ask for advice.
I find myself often alone with my team trying to figure it out. Taking imperfect action.

Here’s just some of what I faced along the way:
Last minute underwriting issues that threw our approval timeline off
Constant bank updates and shifting terms that forced me to stay 10 steps ahead
Heavy cash demands and liquidity verification down to the last wire
Endless calls with attorneys, lenders, partners all while running the business
The pressure of the clock this was a time sensitive deal, and any delay could’ve killed it
Trying to holding it together for myself, our team, partners, investors and timelines when things felt like they were falling apart
That daily pressure of: “What if this doesn’t close?”
I remember waking up one morning thinking:
“Do I even have it in me to keep pushing this across the finish line?”
The Doubt Was Real
There were moments I thought:
“Maybe I’m in over my head.”
“Maybe this is the deal I walk away from.”
“Maybe I’ve hit my limit.”
“Maybe I can’t do this.”
“Maybe this isn’t a good deal.”
“Maybe I don’t know what I’m doing.”

But I always landed back to — I didn’t come this far to question my capacity now.
I Could’ve Walked Away
There were countless nights I also thought:
“This is too much.”
“I’m not ready.”
“I’m over it. I’m done.”

What It Taught Me
This deal didn’t just test my systems.
It tested ME. My discipline, my leadership, my identity, my integrity.
Because anyone can show up when things are flowing right….
The real version of you gets revealed in the mess. In CHAOS!
Here’s what I walked away with:
→ Discipline = keeping your promises under pressure
Even when it’s inconvenient. Even when no one’s watching.
Even when everything is chaotic and going wrong.
→ Leadership = being the calm in the storm (well tried my best lol)
Everyone’s looking to you for answers.
Even if you’re figuring it out as you go you show up anyway.
→ Identity = believing in yourself when the numbers scare you
I’m not just “doing deals.”
I’m a manager to MILLIONS of dollars building a legacy portfolio.
My investors trust me. They believed in me. They gave me their hard earned $$.
I had to start thinking and moving like it even before the ink dried on any deal.
I had to remind myself. I’m building an empire. It won’t be easy. Keep going.
And this deal required me to step into that identity fully.
💌 Why I Built Investor’s Diary: Snail Mail Club
Closing this deal reminded me exactly why I created this in the first place.
It’s actually so important.
The process will not always be pretty. It will be tough. Things won’t go right.
Every investment is sacred and so is the outcome.
This club isn’t for highlight reels you’ll see on the internet.
It’s for the real behind the scenes of building wealth.
Sh** I’m actually experiencing. Lessons you can apply to your own journey.
It is where I document the most unfiltered side of this journey.
The most intimate I will ever be because I’m sending these letters in diary format.
Lessons, strategies, resources, connects. It’ll be there.
→ The hard decisions
→ The breakdowns behind the breakthroughs
→ The parts you will NEVER see on IG
→ The lessons I wish someone would’ve sent me when I started
→ The doubts and near misses
→ The lessons, wins and losses
Investor’s Diary: Snail Mail Club is for people who want the unfiltered playbook I’m creating in real time mailed straight to your door.
In my head.. if we’re going to build legacy, we should document every part of the journey. Not just the wins.
🎁 This Month, Your Subscription = Impact
One of my amazing investors and consultants made a offer the other night:
They offered to match every single subscription to Investor’s Diary this month.

So for every sign up in December, we’ll donate to My Sister’s House supporting women and children this holiday season.
This is legacy in real time.
Not just building wealth but giving back while we grow.
